Product Description & Reviews
I woodburned a detailed shoreline scene onto a small piece of poplar wood using pyrography or wood burning techniques. The image was taken from a photograph I took along the shores of Washington State. I spotted several cairns, but this stack of beach stones stood alone on a weathered tree trunk. All work is original work done by me. The mini wooden display easel shown in the pictures is included.
Notice the addition of subtle color for accent.
After cutting and sanding the wood super-smooth, I drew and burned the image into the small piece. The dark edges were achieved by charring the wood using a torch. The piece was coated with lacquer to seal the wood and enhance the color.
Please look closely at the pictures for a visual of the size. The piece is 5 inches (12.7cm) wide, 3 1/2 inches (8.9cm) tall and 1/4 inch (.63cm) thick.
